OYC Americas was established as OYC International in 1994 - as a liaison of the Oriental Yeast Company that served customers outside of Japan in need of biochemical raw materials. It was incorporated as a US subsidiary in 1998 to continue to provide superior sales and marketing support that focused on European, North American, and South American customers. In 2008, OYC International became OYC Americas - an independent organization committed to representing and marketing the high-quality products of its Japanese parent OYC and affiliated partnerships to customers in North and South America.
