Substrates

Substrates bind to enzymes just like ligands bind to proteins. When they bind to enzymes, they undergo an enzyme-induced chemical change, and are converted to products. The change in shape activates the substrate molecule and decreases the total activation energy required for the substrate to be turned into product. Upon Binding with the Enzymes, they enhance the signal in analytical assay. In IVD assays and Clinical assays, substrates play a very crucial role by binding with enzymes in carrying out their functions and strengthen their signals. OYC offers high-quality substrates for manufacturing Clinical Chemistry and Immuno assay reagents. These products are made in Japan and include AMP, ADP, ATP, CP, PEP, G6P, and AP5A.
